Who we are

Christ the Rock is a community of Christians with a vision to share the hope and love of Jesus in Yate and the surrounding area. We meet on Sundays at Abbotswood Primary School and gather throughout the week in various groups across the local community.

Our aim is to make our gatherings relaxed and welcoming, with contemporary worship, relevant teaching, and space to encounter God. We are blessed with people of all ages, including many children and young people, and we run dedicated groups to help them explore faith in a fun and engaging way. We’re led by a leadership team, supported by a host of committed volunteers from within our church family.

As an independent church, we’re not part of a denomination. However, we are associated with Woodlands Church in Bristol. We also play an active role in our local Churches Together group, and our church members are involved in a range of local Christian initiatives, including the Foodbank, Regenerate, and our Community Café. Many of these take place in The Candle on Station Road.
