As a church we believe we should be committed to becoming a `House of Prayer’ and that prayer should be embedded in our culture.

We encourage prayer to be at the very heart of everything we do, and we ensure we create opportunities from the very youngest member at CTR to the eldest to get involved in prayer.

We have a dedicated prayer team who will Pray for individuals during and after the service, this team can be found at the back of the auditorium wearing a `Prayer Team’ Badge.

ACTivate happens on fourth Wednesdays every other month at St Nicholas Church, Abbotswood, Yate, 7:30-9pm. Beginning in March 2019, this is a church family gathering to pray for aspects of church, the wider community and world issues. We begin with praise and worship leading in to prayer, with various styles, themes and leaders. The name springs from the three core aspects of our vision: Authentic, Connect and Transform, and helps us remember that prayer is the power-house of God's Kingdom advancing.

We encourage prayer to be a natural but essential part of our mid-week Growth groups.

We call the whole church at specific times of the year to pray and fast into key points in our journey as a church together.

We believe in a God who can heal the sick, and encourage anyone with specific prayer requests for sickness and healing to visit the Healing rooms at The Candle, 88 Station Road, Yate. Although not officially a Christ the Rock Ministry, many of the team are from Christ the Rock. Appointments run on the first Thursday of the month, from 1:30-3pm and on the second and fourth Thursdays from 7:15-9pm. The service is free, confidential and provided by fully-trained staff.
